AFX Manic Monte Carlo vs Super III Thriller Charger Slot Cars

The slot cars worked well with no glitches noted so far and were fun to run around the track, they stayed on the track very well going quite fast in speed on the straightaway tracks. The cars had nice range of speeds on the Parma controllers, so they could be slow through the curves and also sprint on straightaways. The green Charger flew off track and on the floor due to speed so it lost, nevertheless the race was fun and continued. Each car was disabled getting bumped at squeeze track, but green Charger got bumped another time, so it got 3 strokes against it for being disabled more. The cars are wider than other slot cars, they scuffed each other several times that can be seen at the squeeze track sequences. So they rubbed noses so many times and did not crash. Not caught by camera was the green car disabling the yellow car at squeeze track. But every time cars pass by camera was a unique lap, there are 90 passes in this whole video. Slot Car Track layout has been engineered to keep cars rolling. Track sections have jumper soldered wiring. Also feed wires go to several of these jumper wires. Video is not at all in order or continuous, with only one camera on tripod that was moved around to various view angles during the race and the clips were edited and intermingled. Onboard train videos from GoPro Hero on a flat car or gondola. Also 4X8 blue styrofoam sheets are moved around to screen out basement stuff especially during on board train video. Various highlighting lights were moved around as well. Postproduction also involves masking, screening, and framing. That has been my intention to make videos featuring the trains, slot cars scenery and structures without distractions, such as light fixtures, ceiling, windows, furnace, water heater, basement stuff and giant people and fingers appearing in videos. So the 20-year-old yellow Manic beat the new green Thriller. Maybe blame the driver for going airborne getting bumped and skidding off twice and getting tagged at squeeze track, otherwise these two slot cars ran around for fun for 200 laps.
