Spårvagnar / Trolleys / Trams in Lund, Sweden from Lund C to ESS - 4k60

Lunds Spårväg / Lundaexpressen opened on December 12th 2020 after after contentious planning and building processes. The line traverses 5.5km from Lund central station to ESS European Spallation Source. This is also the route that I follow in this video.

The trolleys are Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles CAF Urbos 100.

Trolley names:
Saxo Grammaticus. Named after a Danish historian who lived from 1150 to about 1220 who lived in Lund for a time back when it belonged to Denmark.

Åsa Hanna. Named after the title character in Elin Wägner's 1917 novel of the same name.

Lindeman. Named after a character played by actor Hans Alfredsson in different stage productions.

Inferno. Named after August Strindberg's autobiographical novel.

Sfinxen. The university hospital has four sphinxes on its roof.

Trolleys not in video:
Blåtand (Bluetooth). Named after Harald Blåtand who was kind of Denmark in the late 900s and was the namesake of bluetooth technology, which was developed by Ericsson Mobile in Lund.

Brandklipparen. Named after Swedish Karl XII's (Charles XII) horse Brandklipparen. Karl XII ruled Sweden from Lund for a couple of years in the 1700s.
