Four students from NTU's Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information have launched online, a 10-part mini-series which chronicles Singapore's old haunts and sights.

The series is a result of six months work by the young film-makers. Calling themselves the RediscoverSG team, Derek Foo, Elizabeth Lee, Lim Song Lip and Jeremy Tan scoured the island to discover the places and faces they grew up with, such as an ageing baker that reflects on his life's work at a traditional bakery, and revisiting an old-style playground that sits uncomfortably amidst new developments.

Over $100,000 has been spent on the project, including a $75,000 grant from the National Heritage Board's Heritage Industry Programme. Called Unseen/Unsaid, the series' first clip will air at 11am on Thursday at www.rediscover.sg.
