Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Kat's Heaters Custom Engine Block Heater. Now, as I mentioned, this is custom, so this is designed for your 1995 to 2004 Toyota Tacoma with a 2.4-liter I4 Engine, and then the 1995 to 2023 Tacoma 2.7-liter I4 Engine. On custom-fit parts such as this heater, I do recommend taking advantage of our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer.com. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our Fit Guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. This 35 millimeter in diameter frost plug heater is going to replace the core plug in your engine block and submerges in the coolant to keep the engine fluids from thickening resulting in smoother startups and less wear and tear on your engine in cold weather.

As you know, heating your engine coolant keeps it from thickening and freezing, resulting in more reliable startups and smoother operations altogether. This is also going to lessen the workload and extend the life of your vehicle's battery, and because starting your engine when it's warm creates less condensation in the engine block than starting it when it's cold, your engine will get better initial fuel vaporization, which is gonna cause fewer emissions and less pollution, and you wanna make sure that you don't use this heater with 100% anti-freeze solution, and you do wanna make sure that you don't start your engine when the heater's plugged in. Now, the power cord on this heater is removable, so you won't need to buy a whole new heater if the cord gets damaged, and the cord can be routed through your grille for easy access to a 120-volt outlet or extension cord. If needed, a longer or shorter cord can be purchased to better fit your application, and you do wanna make sure that the heating element, again, is fully submerged and coolant before plugging this in. This is made here in the USA of corrosion-resistant brass.
