I am looking to open an Artist & Residence Live/Work space in the Hudson Valley. I have found a home for my new endeavor now looking for help financing this great project.
This can be the start of a New Ash-can /Hudson Valley school...
The space is Large Clean Warehouse/Mix Use Space 16,000sq ft. Many Upgrades. Available For Lease/Sale. Drive in Loading Door. Interior Loading Dock. Upgrades Include Roof /Electric. Brick Building-3 Concrete Floors-On 0.21 Acres. Half Mile To Mid-Hudson Bridge. City Water and Sewer. Zone I1.
I envision it as live work spaces for up and coming artist as well as a summer Artist Residence for students in the area and from abroad. It would be open to interdisciplinary all the ARTS.
The space would be divided into studio spaces, shops, labs, etc. There would also be a public gallery space and café for exhibitions of the community's Artists as well as a performance space for local events.
I did my under graduate studies in fine arts and was always looking for summer places to go and learn and be with other artists. This space would also allow for that, students would live and work beside working artists, they would have time to pursue their own work, exhibit or perform it as well.
There is some much possibilities with this space and such a huge need for creative endeavors outside the major metropolitan areas, We need to bring art back to the people.
