Diatonic Seconds in G Major: m2, M2, P8.
This is the first in a series of ear training videos I am putting together which are designed for BOTH beginners and advanced ears at the same time. The intervals are played with an electric piano sound. The intervals are played 3 times and then the answer is revealed.

Beginning ear training students must listen for the difference between the dissonant minor 2nd (m2), the medium dissonant Major 2nd (M2) and the consonant perfect octave (P8).

For the advanced students: the test begins with a G major scale and each interval shares a note in common or moves by step to the next interval, so you a required to name the interval and the note names of the pitches played.
