Who is this guy? He is the 44th richest person in the world…owner of the Houston Rockets, Golden Nugget Casino, the Landry's portfolio of restaurants, including 600 properties across 30 states and 15 different countries. Fertitta is worth an estimated $4.8billion.


. He said he learned this little fast lay-off trick from previous economic downturns which he obviously weathered quite well…not I’m sure the same for his employees. And that’s not all…he also has already gotten a $250million dollar loan at 12 percent interest to make certain he does not go out of business due to covid-19. What did you get?


That brings me to our slay word PLEONASM for using more words than are necessary for clear expression. Here’s a pleonasm for you – an honest theif – what do you think does it fit the owner of the Houston Rockets and Golden Nugget Casino?


Fertitta also said the country must begin to open up again in early May both for the economy and for the nation's mental health. He added…'I talk to so many people who say I just need to get back to work, I'll do anything, I just need to get out of my house” I guarantee you folks no one is itching to get out of their house to end up in a body bag. He sounds ridiculous.


Let’s see if the great 44th richest person in the world extends his generosity to his employees. If he just gave each employee $1000 when they return to work, he would be shelling out $45 million. Folks that is 1/100th of his net worth…but why do that when you can put the responsibility on the backs of the U.S. taxpayers and let us foot the bill through unemployment.
