Daphne Guinness Exhibition Walkthrough

Daphne Guinness, named one of the world's most stylish women by fashion designer Tom Ford, is an icon of rarefied personal style. A serious collector of haute couture and avant-garde fashion, she is also a creative force in her own right. In this new video, Daphne talks with Valerie Steele, director and chief curator of The Museum at FIT, about her memories of Alexander McQueen and Karl Lagerfeld, her belief that fashion is art, and what it was like putting together their MFIT exhibition, Daphne Guinness (Sept 16, 2011 - Jan 7, 2012). Featured are backstage images of Daphne and Valerie in the conservation laboratory, videos of the exhibition taken by Daphne's photographer, and close-ups of individual garments and accessories featured in the exhibition.
