In May 2022, the #MarcheDuFilm of the #FestivalDeCannes invited an international panel to discuss strategies and tools for creating equity and equality in production in the post-pandemic film industry, and to look at ways to close the gender gap. Let's listen to TIME’S UP UK Chair Dame Heather Rabbatts, Women in Film & Television International and WIFT Sweden President Helene Granqvist and MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein CEO Helge Albers who joined a roundtable discussion to analyze and debate the subject.

The conference was developped in partnership with the Swedish Film Institute as part of 406 Days, a new gender equality report launch presented by the institution. The report tends to look into the gender disparity in film development and production process. The report reveals that the average female-led fiction feature spends over one year longer in development than projects led by male filmmakers.
