During soft morning rain, three tiny kittens were pinned against a fallen branch as muddy floodwater rose rapidly around them. Their cries were faint, their bodies weak, and time was running out. The mother cat circled in panic, soaked and helpless, unable to reach her babies as the water crept higher. A rescuer rushed in, sliding through the mud, and scooped the kittens up one by one just seconds before the flood covered the area completely. Indoors, the kittens were wrapped in warm towels, gently fed milk, and cleaned as their mother licked them nonstop, finally calming down while watching her babies breathe safely again.
