Dorabella and her sister Fiordiligi are in a right tizzy after their lovers have left for war. Despina, their maid walks in and asks what is wrong and is rewarded with a mock-heroic hysterical aria from Dorabella. In it, she relays that her grief is too much to bear and that because of it, she should just die.
