For the past 5 months this is what I do for bone density 5 days a week to prevent osteoporosis. The number of people with osteoporosis is 10 million but the number with osteopenia, low bone density, is 44 million. Women in menopause are especially vulnerable due to the loss of estrogen.
Whether you can lift heavy, do high impact and spend a lot of time in weight bearing movement daily (3 known bone beneficial activities) or not, most of us do not want the risk of a fracture due to a fall.
Whole Body Vibration has been proven effective in not only improving lumbar and hip (femoral neck) bone mineral density, but reducing spinal and back pain related to osteoporosis.
The 4 exercises demonstrated are from the Ruan, et al. study of 2008. Included here is an up to date (2018) review of lit including 9 more studies confirming.
