I find that the 'gallop' section of Apache is often a point where many guitarists (particularly beginners) struggle so I thought it would be a good idea to do a short concentrated video entirely of this part. It really is not as difficult as many think, once you understand the picking strokes and the rhythm it will soon become clear exactly how it is played. This is probably one of Hank Marvin & The Shadows most popular tunes, it would be a shame to not to be able to play it because the gallop seems so hard right? Just begin to play it really slowly, learn to control your pick, and the speed will come gradually with time.
