Japanese Beer Vending Machine's automatic ID checker, is it really working !?

Under 20 year-old (20 year-old not included) cannot drink alcohol in Japan, it is enforced by Japanese law.

However, there are many alcohol vending machine in Japan with ID checker. Usually in many countries, they are not allowed to sell alcohol drinks in vending machine such as beer, sake, wine.

Japan is such a strict country with advanced technology.
Many travelers were interested in Alcohol Vending machine with ID checker in Japan how it works.
Therefore, I checked several Alcohol Vending machine with ID checker near Dotonbori, namaba station (Osaka, Japan) if the ID checker is working or not.
