ARIA 313 MK2/5 Detroit Bass - Sound Demo

Описание к видео ARIA 313 MK2/5 Detroit Bass - Sound Demo

A brief demo of the sounds of the Aria 313 MK2/5 Detroit Bass. Made in Indonesia.

The bass was recorded via PreSonus Studio 68c card directly into the OBS software without any effects, equalization, compression, normalisation or postprocessing. This is the most clean sound I was able to get directly from the instrument.

The demo shows fingerstyle, slap, and picked bass.

Technical details and comments: Ash body with the Open Pore Sunburst finish. Wilkinson bridge. Roasted maple neck; the rosewood fingerboard has 24 frets. The bass is passive, P+J configuration, Alnico-5 pickups. The controls are Volume, Pickup Blend, Tone. Played with factory strings of an unknown brand.

What I like about the bass is the open pore finish, that feels really nice. Also the roasted maple neck is cool. No issues with setup, no buzz, low action possible. This is a budget bass that has been recently copied also by Harley Benton. The sound of the P pickup is somehow less beefy than I would expect in a Precision bass, this might be due to a smaller size of the body. The sound of the J pickup adds presence, but also a typical single-coil hum. I have no objections against the craftmanship. The B-string was decent. I returned the bass as it sounded kind of anemic to my ears.
