"Meet Manavi Rai, the compassionate animal rescuer who left her life abroad to return to Delhi and dedicate herself to saving stray dogs. After encountering a wounded, lactating mother dog who was silently suffering, Manavi realized how many needy animals were abandoned without help. That moment marked the beginning of her rescue journey.

Today, her shelter home cares for over 70 rescued dogs, while she and her team feed and tend to more than 150 community strays across eight villages near Delhi. From paralysed dogs and survivors of acid attacks to the elderly and abandoned pups—she champions every life. Many of these dogs are disabled or elderly, and her shelter provides them warmth, medical care, and safety.
