China Announces ASN-301 (Feilong-300A) Anti-Radiation Drone

The ASN-301 (Feilong-300A) is a suicide-style drone designed to target enemy radar, communication ground stations, and other electronic radiation sources. Its attack mode is as follows: after launch, the drone autonomously flies to a cruising altitude and then loiters over the target area at a high altitude for an extended period, using its onboard sensors to conduct reconnaissance, surveillance, and target locking. Upon detecting radio signals emitted by enemy radars, the drone initiates a dive attack, aiming for a near-vertical strike to destroy the target’s antenna or main unit.

Compared to anti-radiation missiles that primarily target radar stations, the anti-radiation drone is a more cost-effective, higher-performance alternative with a longer battlefield loitering time. It is particularly suited for targeting hidden or mobile radar systems. The Feilong-300A anti-radiation drone is launched from a highly mobile 6×6 military truck, designed as a "mobile fortress." The truck carries six integrated launch boxes, each housing one Feilong-300A drone.

The drone features a unique design: it is 2.5 meters long with a wingspan of 2.2 meters, adopting a small aspect ratio, tailless delta-wing configuration. The fuselage is cylindrical, and the front is spherical, giving it excellent stealth performance.
