What makes a movie a classic?

There are a lot of animated movies people consider classics. But what are the requirements to becoming a classic? How old does a film need to be and how good does it need to be? Well, it turns out there aren't any strict requirements. Thus spawns this video and discussion. Please, let me know what requirements you have for classic movies. I am very interest in finding out what everyone's requirements are.
