Back in late August 2025, SEPTA cut 32 bus routes and reduced Regional Rail service because of a budget shortfall, leaving riders with longer waits and fewer options. As of September 14, full service is back across bus, metro, trolley, and Regional Rail, but fares are up to $2.90 per ride.
