TA22 Celica 1600GT is the first generation!　Test drive the early model built in 1970.　初代セリカ1600GT

日本初のスペシャルティカー、CELICA。
1970年モデルなので今年で満50歳になる貴重な初代セリカを鈴鹿サーキットで試乗させていただきました。
初期型セリカは2ドアハードトップモデルのみ。
ミッションや内装が選べるフルチョイスシステムが導入されたり、メッチャ先進的なポジションのクルマだった。
TTEつまり TEAM TOYOTA EUROPE（現在のTMG）はこのクルマでラリーに参戦していた。
その映像が銀座SONYビルの２Fにあったトヨタのショールームで流されていて（40年以上昔）、私はモニターの前から動かなかった。最高にカッコ良かった！

Japan's first specialty car, CELICA.
Since it was a 1970 model, we tested a precious first generation Celica who will be 50 years old this year at the Suzuka Circuit.
The early Celica is only a 2-door hardtop model.
The car was equipped with a full-choice system that allowed the user to select the mission and interior, and the car was in an advanced position.
TTE or TEAM TOYOTA EUROPE (now TMG) was participating in the rally with this car.
The video was being streamed in a Toyota showroom on the 2nd floor of the Ginza SONY building (more than 40 years ago), and I didn't move before the monitor. It was really cool!
