Foreign Agents Law of Russia. Copy of the American FARA or not?

In 2012 Russia came up with a new law which was supposed to fight any foreign influence on Russian politics. This law is called Foreign Agents Law. Putin used this law as a tool to oppress his political critics, independent media and political activists by claiming them with the status of foreign agents. In this video I will tell you about Russian Foreign Agents Law, its history and how it is implemented in Russia. The most important, I will compare Russia law to the American FARA, which Putin often calls the analogue of Russian one and use it as a justification for creating it in Russia.
