Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell freezes during remarks to reporters

The Kentucky senator stopped speaking for about 20 seconds during a press event at the US Capitol.

He was ushered away from the podium but later returned to the press conference and answered questions. McConnell, 81, was out of the Senate for almost six weeks earlier this year after falling and hitting his head. His office later said he suffered a concussion and fractured a rib.
