The BYD Song L is a battery electric mid-size crossover SUV that has been in production by BYD Auto since 2023. It's part of the BYD Song family within the 'Dynasty Series' product lineup and stands out with the largest footprint among the Song vehicles. Occupying the Chinese B-class category or D-segment globally, it's built on the e-Platform 3.0, which it shares with other BYD battery electric vehicles such as the Seal.

The Song L showcases BYD's 'Dragon Face' design language, featuring a low roof design, an electric rear wing, and hidden door handles. It boasts an impressively low coefficient of drag of 0.255 Cd. The model offers a choice between front-motor two-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive, incorporating CTB (cell-to-body) battery technology and BYD's DiSus suspension system.

Performance-wise, the single motor versions produce either 150 kW (201 hp; 204 PS) or 230 kW (308 hp; 313 PS), while the dual-motor version offers a combined maximum power output of 380 kW (510 hp; 517 PS). The Song L's battery options, BYD's Blade Battery, come in 71.8 kWh or 87.04 kWh capacities, delivering a CLTC range of up to 662 km (411 mi). The vehicle's top speed is capped at 201 km/h (125 mph).

Interior amenities include a 12-speaker Dynaudio audio system, NFC card, 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch central control screen, and a 50-inch AR head-up display, all integrated with BYD's latest DiLink operating system and DiPilot advanced driver-assistance system.
