Meet Ansley the Medical Dog, who helps our rehab patients

Ansley, M.D. (Medical Dog) joined the staff of Nationwide Children's Hospital in 2006 as full-time member of our Animal Assisted Therapy Program. While Ansley is a staple throughout the hospital he spends most of his time in the Rehabilitation Unit. Unlike many therapy dogs, Ansley provides more than just comfort and companionship by actively assisting rehabilitation patients with mobility, speech and cognitive thinking exercises.

Ansley the Medical Dog, like all Nationwide Children's Hospital staff, has to wear an ID badge when he is in the hospital. Click the link below to see photographic proof of his "M.D." status.
