Jagat Niwas Palace Udaipur | Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary

In summer of 2020, we visited Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary in Udaipur, Rajasthan. During our visit, we stayed in Jagat Niwas Palace Hotel. This video is an HD tour of the Palace.

The suite room cost was INR 12,500 per night (twin-sharing) including taxes and complementary three meals. The property was comparatively vacant when we went there so the rates might differ depending upon the month and time you choose.

The rooms were clean and there were adequate precautions taken in the hotel for the safety of guests. The food was a key highlight of the hotel. The staff was courteous. This White Palace is adjacent to the City Palace. For those who have not visited Udaipur in the past, the roads near City Palace are quite narrow. So, if you are self-driving to the city, make sure you speak with the Hotel Staff to make arrangements to escort you to the hotel. They will either send some staff member to help you reach the hotel, or you also have an option to park the car at a distance and reach the hotel through a boat ride in Lake Pichola.

Now a few things about the Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary –

Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary in Udaipur is one of the best places to experience wildlife living harmoniously in the unnatural habitat. The sanctuary is home to animals like chitals, panthers, hares, nilgais, jackals, wild boars, hyenas, and sambhars. You can come across a wide range of birds and reptiles. There are known to be 71 plant families in the Sanctuary.

• The ticket price is Rs. 30 (Indians) and Rs. 300 (Non-Indians)
• The Camera Charges are Rs. 80 and the cost of taking a video camera inside the park is Rs. 200
• The Sanctuary remains closed on Tuesday
• The timings are from 10 AM to 6 PM
