My longest standing dream is to find my person. My fair share of failed relationships has taken me to both sides of the spectrum; I had someone that was willing to go back on their core beliefs if it meant staying beside me, followed by my next relationship where I found myself begging for any scraps of attention and affection I could get. The latter transformed me into an insecure mess that lost all confidence in myself, my talent and my abilities which lead me down a long, tiring path in search of real self-love and, for the first time, I became my most important project.

Once I put all my pieces back together and stopped looking outside myself for strength and validation, I met someone that was also mosaic of unforgiving experiences, emotional trauma, and guarded walls, and I finally felt the fulfilment I’d been chasing. The sun felt warmer, my trials weren’t as heavy, my newly discovered panic attacks had an anecdote, even my song writing finally started to sound like me. My man and I have a saying; half the pain, double the pleasure. I know I wouldn’t be ready for this if I didn’t believe I deserved it, and now I finally believe I do.
