Stack and Slam - my FAVORITE way to recycle and wedge clay

The Stack and Slam method has become my favorite method of wedging clay. It saves my wrists and arms, adds more layers faster, but best of all it allows me to wedge together wetter clay with dryer clay and make it uniform throughout. I find this really helpful when I find a bag of clay balls I prepared a few days or weeks ago. It's too hard to throw now, so I slice it up, add some wetter clay, then STACK & SLAM!

This trick helped me get rid of all those clay scraps I had been saving in buckets. I've found that now I actually prefer recycled clay to new clay.
