Also in the video, one of the pioneers of Mercy Njeri Primary School narrates how the area came to know as Mercy Njeri in Kiswahili.
The shopping center is just about 7km from Nakuru CBD. Farming is a major commercial activity in the area but recently real estate development is on the rise.
A mall is nearing completion around the area, and a few modern apartments have been built. There's also the presence of gated communities, the two Mercy Njeri schools (Primary and Secondary), and some formal and informal business.
The area is on the upward trajectory, just need more people to come around and especially with new ideas.
