 we see all sorts of pipe, strapping and securing in homes. You should never use metal strapping on plastic as the vibrations can dig into the plastic. Typically you want more than various types of wire or other material securing the pipes. And all gas and water supply and drain lines should be strapped and supported and some fashion. loose pipes could break loose at the joints and cause damage. Especially if it’s a gas line it could cause serious hazards to the home.
