Closely related to hurling or shinty in neighbouring Celtic nations, cammag has a history dating back hundreds of years in the Island. David Fisher, one of the original revivalists of the game in St. John's, here reads an extract from one of the fascinating early accounts of the sport.

Cammag can be enjoyed on St. Stephen's Day (26th December), when the North and South compete on the Fairfield beside Tynwald Hill in St. John's.
