Melbourne is Australia’s garden city. It is home to majestic and beautifully landscaped gardens. One of them is The Queen Victoria Gardens.

The Queen Victoria Gardens are Melbourne's memorial to Queen Victoria, who was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until 1901.
The size is 4.8 hectares, which is relatively smaller compared to the neighbouring parks and gardens.
Strategically located on opposite the Victorian Arts Centre and National Gallery of Victoria, bounded by St Kilda Road, Alexandra Avenue and Linlithgow Avenue, it is easy to get there.
Queen Victoria Gardens are part of a larger group Domain parklands directly south-east of Melbourne CBD. Domain Parklands includes Kings Domain, The Royal Botanic Gardens, Alexandra Gardens and Queen Victoria Gardens.
This granite and marble memorial statue was commissioned from sculptor James White. It is positioned at the highest point of the gardens. It shows the Queen in ceremonial gowns casting her regal gaze across sweeping lawns, ornamental lakes, and rose gardens to the Melbourne Arts Centre Spire and Southbank and Melbourne CBD skyscrapers.
Because of its close proximity to the city, many workers go there to run, go for a stroll, or relax at lunchtime!
This floral clock is positioned opposite the National Gallery of Victoria. It contains more than 7,000 flowering plants. These plants are changed twice yearly. A group of Swiss watchmakers donated the clock to the City of Melbourne in 1966.
Behind the clock you can see a bronze equestrian statue. This statue is a memorial to Queen Victoria's successor, King Edward VII. The statue was unveiled in 1920.
