This is one of the 33 Guan Yin Bodhisattva manifestations stories of Guan Yin Avalokiteshvara Story. Her truth-illuminating wisdom shines perfectly on the Three Thousand Dharma Realms, with a willow twig and purifying blessing water, she washes away the dust that obscures the wisdom of all beings.
The Medicine Guan Yin is able to provide effective medicine to cure the physical and mental illnesses of sentient beings. For this reason she is called the "Medicine Guan Yin".

寂靜施藥觀世音尋聲救苦難思議
諦觀圓照三千界楊枝淨水洗凡塵
施藥觀音因能施予良藥，能除治眾生身心病苦而得名。
施藥觀音是三十三身觀音化身之一。
