This is a behind the scenes look at the process for my entry for the Gibraltar Body Art Festival 2021: Disney World 50th Anniversary! Thank you to my model and best friend for being such an important part of this piece!

I want this piece to feel like Disney World: never-ending, fascinating and imaginative elements to get immersed in. My goal was to express the sensational, joyful and extraordinary “most magical place on earth”!

I haven’t done a head to toe paint in so long and had to jump on this opportunity! Researching Disney’s history was very nostalgic and I enjoyed it a whole lot more than I thought I would! There were endless characters and movies I wanted to include. The Disney World is limitless. I hope I did it justice and bring some joy with this piece.

A little behind the design:
The Walk Disney Company started in 1923, but we start with the first animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937 at the top of the film reel. Moving down the movie reel the timeline moves forward hitting many Disney classics!
I tried my best to research the original releases to reference from (they’re not all perfect, but I did my best with this!)
