TARI BEDOYO MAJAPAHIT

This is Bedoyo Majapahit dance performed by students of SMAN 1 Pandaan. This dance was dedicated to Gods in the ancient history of Javanese kingdom, Majapahit, but today it is danced to welcome guests or entertain the royal family during coronation, wedding ceremony, or celebrating special moments.
The body moves are of fixed ones. This means no one can ever modify them.
Before the dance performed, a priest burns incense on a small pot and put it at the middle back part of the stage. The aroma really frightens audiences. Well, at least it frightens me.
The dancers spread a mythical aura. No one wants to blink their eyes during the performance.
