The Ewok Adventures Finally Explained

While it may seem like the Star Wars franchise lay stagnant in between 1983’s Return of the Jedi and 1999’s The Phantom Menace, this isn’t exactly the case. George Lucas didn’t continue the main story of Luke, Leia, and Han, but he did decide to bring the Ewoks to television. The furry critters were responsible for some of the more divisive moments in Return of the Jedi, but Lucas leaned into the kid-friendly nature of his films, and created the TV movie Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure, which was so successful that it led to a sequel.
