The Breast Center at Geneva University Hospital Centre of Oncology brings together, in a single location, a multidisciplinary team and a state of the art technical platform. The centre contributes to ensuring the best treatment at each step of care, from diagnosis to rehabilitation patients can find all of the support and care they need, from a social, psychological, physiotherapeutic , nursing and medical point of view.
The aim is to treat the whole patient, not just the disease, including the way to ease pain fatigue anxiety by offering physical activities program supervised by physiotherapists and sports master, by offering hypnosis sessions in order to decrease pain, nausea ,fatigue and anxiety related to treatment or cancer itself, by offering a mindfulness program to relax, better control pain, stress, depression and insomnia and by offering nutrition counseling in aim to manage weight changes and to give diet advice to improve health.
