'The Italian Job' was the chosen theme when former players and fans gathered to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of that 1971 victory on 3rd November 2006 at Bloomfield Road.

Highlights from the game and included interviews with Dave Hatton and winning goalscorer Micky Burns. Also in keeping with the theme, footage from the Italian Job itself was used to bookend the film shown on the evening.
