Mallet made from Hard Maple with a Cherry handle. Chiseling out the hard maple took ages so I cut a lot of it. I haven't done much chiseling so it was a learning experience for sure. Definitely need to sharpen them more often.

I sadly forgot to hit record when I applied the finish, which was boiled linseed oil. Being a project that intends to be abused I just used what I had.

Looking to carve a marge spoon/ladel soon. So you should see the new mallet in action then.
