Jay Smith vs. Nadir Ahmed - Scientific Miracles in the Quran

Описание к видео Jay Smith vs. Nadir Ahmed - Scientific Miracles in the Quran

Jay was asked by the Trinity Channel to do a debate for them on Thursday evening, February 21st on the topic: 'Scientific Miracles in the Qur'an'. He was to oppose Nadir Ahmed, a well-known Muslim debater, who has created videos on this very subject as far back as 2008.

It turned out to be a rather simple if not entertaining debate, though Jay was somewhat disappointed that Nadir wasn't a better opponent, as he wasted most of his time attempting to move the debate away from the scientific problems in the Qur'an and onto the Bible, particularly harping incessantly on the parable of the Mustard seed, which he considered was a scientific error.

Jay was a little surprised that the moderator, someone whose position is to moderate and take a neutral stance, instead entered into the debate himself, taking equal time with Jay on the Christian side. Some have assumed justifiably that this may have looked like 'ganging up on poor Nadir'. Nonetheless, Eddie, the moderator did a slap-up job, particularly as an expert on the Arabic words and phrases in the Qur'an, as its his native tongue.

We encourage you to watch the entire debate, as you will see that there are a myriad of scientific claims Muslims make for their Qur'an, which are nothing more than mere observations, or borrowings from other sources. This point came out clearly in this debate, coupled with a few scientific errors, despite Nadir's remonstrations to the contrary.

This area of research is new to Jay, and the first time he has even debated it with a Muslim. Due to the popularity of the subject in the Islamic world Jay has decided to create an entire series on this subject for Pfanderfilms!

So, enjoy the debate, and 'hold this space'
