Summary of the video - Network Time Protocol (NTP) is a networking protocol for clock synchronization between computer systems over packet-switched, variable-latency data networks. Network time protocol (NTP) is used to synchronize clocks on network devices. This helps to troubleshoot a problem that involves more than one network device and specify time frames for access. High availability means that network devices, or the network in general, is up and available for use as close to 100% of the time as possible. High availability is not achieved by adding more hardware to the network. Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a client/server protocol that automatically provides an Internet Protocol (IP) host with its IP address and other related configuration information such as the subnet mask and default gateway. In information technology, high availability refers to a system or component that is continuously operational for a desirably long length of time. Availability can be measured relative to "100% operational" or "never failing."
