Maths Is Fun (1988) - FULL EPISODE

Описание к видео Maths Is Fun (1988) - FULL EPISODE

Former Blue Peter presenter Lesley Judd fronts this numeracy programme aimed at first year infants. This particular episode - which I gather was originally broadcast on Monday, 17th October, 1988 - is the fifth in the series, and appropriately focuses on the number five. That includes a song about fat frogs (not sure about rhyming "alone" with "none", there) and a story called Five Garden Gnomes. And then the bit afterwards is a pretty clever way of demonstrating that, no matter how you arrange them (three on top and two down below, or one on top and four down below, etc.), you're still ultimately left with five. Very gentle stuff.

By the way, hear that theme tune at the beginning? Regulars on this channel should recognise the singer: it's none other than Susan "Bobby's Girl" Maughan, a.k.a. Princess Hortensia from Boggle's Kingdom! All roads lead to the Pink Windmill, one way or another...

Grateful thanks to Ben for providing this recording - don't forget to check out    / benriggers   when you get the chance.
