Oni is particularly vulnerable to Arg's poison fish and rushing river zoning due to his slow walk speed and limited options for closing the gap. However, Oni is able to break through Arg's zoning with armor, nullify Bubble Shield and "godhand" with sword range, and pressure Arg into making costly mistakes. This matchup is considered significantly or even extremely Onimaru favored.

We both made big blunders but Yomi Justice's were more devastating.

Looking back... I was mediocre. I have improved since. Notably I was not abusing Spirit Slice for guard crush pressure. Compared to Overhead Slice, it requires a jump (+10 frames startup), is much more punishable on whiff, and doesn't cancel into Tactical Stance. But in exchange it has a little more range and allows Oni to glide over Arg's grounded attacks with a projectile hitbox and invincible legs.
