Mid October 2024 .. Possibly the best time of the year “Autumn"! .. The weather is unbelievably mild, whilst staying in my usual place Nia Roo, Morvich Kintail, I need to make the most of these glorious days ahead .. So my 1st trip has to be Glen Affric, a Caledonian Forestry haven in over 30 miles of ancient pinewoods, the circular hike around its Loch is a must for anyone visiting this area even for the 1st time, A Nature reserve with woodland birds, red deer and red squirrels amongst spectacular mountains will keep you exploring this area for hours on end and will always have you coming back time and again ….
