⚪ Now that the MDCAT is finally over, you may be wondering when you should apply to various BDS and MBBS medical schools. Well, not to worry, we have outlined the entire process for you to gain from while applying to medical schools.

To be eligible for the application process, you need to have:

● Passed HSSC (Pre-Medical) or equivalent examination with a minimum of 65% (715/1100) marks

● A Punjab domicile certificate. If you have one of Islamabad (ICT), you can only apply on open merit seats.

● Passed the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) conducted by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) with the minimum passing percentage i.e. 65%.

●The repeating candidates can use their MDCAT-2020 scores subject to equivalence of the same by PMC.

●Candidates preferring admission on quota seats will be required to, beforehand, fulfil the added eligibility conditions for respective quota.

⚪ This was a reference made by the PMC recently. If you are to calculate merit marks those can be done by the marks received by the student for their science subjects mainly. This means the following subjects: Mathematics or Physics, Biology and Chemistry. This stands for the HSSC Pre/

First, you will need to log onto the website. The URL for the website can be found in this step-by-step. Click here to access it.

Next, you will be required to create an account. You will do this through the website sign up process using your Email ID and password.

Third, you will be required to complete the full application through inputting your personal data that is needed. In this step, you will be at the preference giving stage. This means you shall give your personal preference for the colleges you wish to attend in order of priority. The order in which you give your preferences, and the preferences themselves will be final once you submit the form and can not be changed later, so make sure you are certain about your future medical college choices and make an informed decision. Of course, you will not be considered as an applicant for a college that you have not mentioned in the college preference list.

⚪ If you are to take the Hafiz-e-Quran exam or if you are a student who has disabilities that you would like to be taken into account, you may also state that and make it clear on paper in the application. For this, you will be required to tick the box that is required on the application and also make sure that you upload the supporting documents for evidence for your case. Huaz-e-Quran and students with disabilities must tick the relevant box in the application and upload required documents. In the near future, students who have selected this option will be timely communicated to the timing, date of exam and the specific venue for their Hifz-e-Quran Test/Medical Board. This information will be communicated to them on their email addresses that they provided to the organization.

⚪ After that, you will be required to upload the documents that the application requires. Make sure you obtain these documents as soon as you can to avoid a last minute hassle. Make sure the document you upload does not exceed the size of 2 MBs per document (each).

♦️ Next, before you submit the documentation, make sure all the information provided by you is also verified. The reason for double checking is because after you submit the document, you will not be eligible for making any edits at all. So make sure the information provided is accurate and closely proofread.

♦️ At this point, you have to finally confirm the information and submit the application. You will receive an email for confirmation on your provided email address. You need to then print the application that has been submitted. Make sure it is the one that says the words “Final Copy” on it.

♦️ After that, you will need to head to Bank of Punjab (BOP). Any BOP branch will be okay. You will need to, at the BOP branch, take your application “Final Copy” and your fee challan. The reason for this is to deposit 1000 PKR. This amount is the Admission Processing Fee. Please note, this amount is also not refundable.

♦️ Visit any branch of The Bank of Punjab, with the ‘Final Copy’ of submitted application and fee challan, to deposit Admission Processing Fee of Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable).
