Hearthstone Heritage III (8023) Secondary Manifold disassembly

Описание к видео Hearthstone Heritage III (8023) Secondary Manifold disassembly

After removal of the secondary manifold, this video shows how to disassemble the manifold in order to replace the air tubes or to plug up manufacture gaps that let air bypass the air tubes by way of to large of gaps or improperly sealed seams.

This video also shows where the gasket goes between the air riser and the secondary manifold. Hearthstone calls for a low density 3/8" round gasket rope, part#3110-057. I attempted to use the proper gasket but it was way to hard and tight to fit into the small gasket recess in the manifold. I ended up using a 1/4" low density round gasket rope, that was stretched and glued to the air riser first. The next time I do all this, I am going to find a 3/8" flat gasket that is 1/8" thick. I also used a die grinder to bevel the rear side of the secondary manifold as that gap is very small and I was afraid the rope gasket would catch and prevent me from getting it installed properly. (not much of a bevel, but just enough to assist in getting the gasket to start)

Installing back into the stove. I did not make a video for this, but its just reversing the process of removal in my first video. Only difference, make your sticks only 11.25" long, do not place them in the channel behind the bricks on the floor of the stove. Place them on the back edge of the bricks. That way when it comes time to start letting the manifold down slowly onto the air riser, you can slowly move the bottoms of the sticks towards the front of the stove, manipulating the manifold and riser connection until properly seated.
