Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Beginner Guide to VLOOKUP.

Welcome to the latest episode of the Don't Fear The Spreadsheet podcast. In this episode, we will be discussing one of my favorite Excel functions - VLOOKUP. If you've ever felt left in the dark when it comes to VLOOKUPs, don't worry, you're not alone. Many people struggle to understand and utilize this powerful function. But fear not, by the end of this episode, you'll have a clear understanding of what VLOOKUP is and how it can save you a massive amount of work.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you have a list of items to sell, but the descriptions are missing? You then have to manually search for each item's description and copy and paste it into your list. This can be a tedious and time-consuming task, especially if you have a large number of items. But with VLOOKUP, this process becomes a breeze. Simply enter the function and let Excel do the work for you. It will search for the item's description in a separate table and automatically fill it in for you.

But that's not all, VLOOKUP can also save you time and effort when dealing with large amounts of data. Instead of manually copying and pasting the function for each row, you can simply double-click to copy it down and it will fill in the rest of the rows for you. This can be a huge time-saver, especially if you have thousands of rows of data. So, whether you're dealing with a small list or a massive amount of data, VLOOKUP can make your life a lot easier.
