As with a lot of Evolution Power Tools this particular electric mitre saw will cut not only wood, but steel too. It can also be used to cut plastic if the blade is changed for a suitable plastic profile cutting blade.

When cutting through old sections or boards of timber you don't have to worry about hitting the odd nail or screw that might be present. The Evolution Rage3 will simply slice straight through them without causing any noticeable damage to its cutting blade.

Virtually No Sparks When Cutting Steel With This Saw:

Unlike some other brands of saws and other power tools such as metal cut-off saws and angle grinders, the Evolution Rage 3 Chop Saw produces almost no heat whilst cutting through alloy and steel. The same goes for sparks, with almost nil sparks produced!

The 0 to 45 degree bevel function allows you to also make cuts on a bevel angle, avoiding the need for you to purchase a different tool to carry this out.
