Beginner friendly tutorial! Learn how to do a forward inside C-Step (Mohawk) in figure skating with this very video. I’ll break down everything you need to feel comfortable mastering this skating skill. I have a step-by-step off-ice walk through, steps for how to do it at the boards, and important tips + tricks to feel comfortable trying it away from the wall.

As a visual learner, I found this turn to be one of the most difficult to understand. The transition from forward to backward never fully made sense to me. Hopefully I was able to break this down into the smallest steps that can help any skater. I wanted to include tips for skaters just starting and for skaters that are looking to improve their c-step (mohawk). I promise it does get easier the more you work on it!
