Hailing from Grit, Virginia, Ricky Van Shelton rose to stardom in the late 1980s, with his debut album, Wild Eyed Dream, being certified platinum in 1989. The album contained five tunes released as singles, including our episode 9 (   • Crime Of Passion (Ricky Van Shelton) - Chr...  ), "Crime Of Passion", and the final three of which, all went to #1. Written by Radney Foster and Bill Lloyd, "Crazy Over You" was the highest charting single (#4) for the Foster & Lloyd duo, and was released almost simultaneously by Shelton. The song is a quintessential Rockabilly style tune, bridging the gap between Country, Rhythm & Blues and Rock & Roll.
