Hey everybody Illogical JJ here.
Today I will be going over some ship stocking tips.
Until Season 2 was released, there was really only a few ways to stock your ship full of supplies like
cannon balls, wood, fruit etc.
You could go barrel to barrel filling up your pockets and then off load them into your ships barrels.
This is the OG way. Old school pirates have done this so much that they should have all the barrel locations
memorized by now.. Something to keep in mind for you sneaky barrel tuckers...

Since then players have come up with more innovative ways of stocking supplies.
Personally since I typically load into a sloop, I will server hop until I see a skeleton ship nearby.
All skeleton ships have storage crates, so If you sink a skeleton ship. You get a storage crate.
Once you have a storage crate your troubles finding supplies will soon be over.

If money is not an option you can now buy all of your supplies including storage crates from the merchant alliance.
Basically ever since I started playing I always wished that they would make this possible and with the roll out of
season 2 you can now buy all the supplies you need. Or I should say necessities.
They wont sell you fire balls or any pvp items. Just bananas, cannon balls, and wood.
And an empty storage crate is also available for around 17 grand.
Now that this is an available option, I realize that I like raiding barrels.
Its therapeutic for me. I wish sea of thieves had a stat for how many barrels I raided.

Moving on we now have 3 options for stocking our ships.
Filling and un filling our pockets. ie the max quantities we can hold at one time.
This method is ideal for those who have no gold to waste.

You can server jump until you find an outpost with a storage crate or nearby skeleton ship.
This is for the pirates that dont want to waste their money filling their pockets but they also dont care for any
cheap thrills. They are in it for the action.

Lastly you can buy all of your supplies from the merchant alliance.
This method is for the pirate with more gold than they need and less time than they want.

Before setting sail I typically like to have 100 cannon balls, 65 planks, and 20-25 pieces of fruit thats better than
bananas. Sometimes the outpost will be dry from someone else raiding it.
If thats the case you may consider jumping servers.
